Breaking Curses

“Life’s not about how hard of a hit you can give… it’s about how many you can take, and still keep moving forward.”  Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.

We’ve all heard this famous quote from the movie ‘Rocky’, and it’s often used as a motivational tool for people to keep going, against the odds, and against whatever resistance they encounter in life.

Unfortunately, as time goes by, the more the ‘enemy’ hits, people feel ‘hitting back’ just isn’t doing anything until, one day, they stop hitting back altogether. They think the problem will go away on its own, but this is not true.

Whether you decide to fight back against the enemy or not, he will always fight you – regardless – hitting you, until life feels like it’s becoming unbearable. Then, you get to a point where life gets stuck in the same cycle, of taking one step forward and three steps back.

I am sure you’ve asked why does this happen? Why some people never seem to make progress in specific areas or, arethere such things as curses?  Could it be coincidence or bad luck?

Call it whatever you like but, the truth is, some things don’t happen by coincidence. There is usually a cause or a reason behind it —be it in a family, where all marriages end in divorce; a capable person who is unable to hold down a steady job; a woman who keeps attracting the wrong man and falls for one who does not love her, etc.

Could it be coincidence or something more serious at work? How can you break this ‘never-ending’ chain of events?

For this reason, we come together every Friday to go against this ‘enemy’ We make prayers, which combat every situation that keeps recurring in your life.

It’s time for you to take a stand, pick up your ‘gloves’ and start fighting back!
