To say that my family was a mess would be an understatement! We were not united at all! Just for you to get an idea of what a broken family we were, I hated my mum because she physically abused me as a child and my older brother ran away from home and we didn’t see him for many years.

United we stand
To say that my family was a mess would be an understatement! We were not united at all! Just for you to get an idea of what a broken family we were, I hated my mum because she physically abused me as a child and my older brother ran away from home and we didn’t see him for many years. To make matters worse, my other brother had a criminal record, which meant he was unable to get a job, and my dad had an accident at work. At one point he was paralysed due to spinal cord damage.
However, all this changed when I started attending the UCKG HelpCentre where there was a strong emphasis on having a happy family. This opened my eyes and so I started to attend a special meeting where we would pray for the family using the family album that we received.
Through my dedication I have seen my family change in such a great way. My older brother returned home, my other brother got a good job in a prestigious software company and my dad got better and regained full use of his body. The relationship with my mum has also changed as I was able to forgive her and now we are like best friends! Praying for your family definitely pays off!”
