Well, they show four prominent figures: President Obama; former UK Prime Minister, David Cameron; German Chancellor, Angela Merkel; French President, Francois Hollande, and Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi.
This picture has gone viral because three of these leaders will be gone by the end of this year and each have experienced prominent exits:
- President Obama will leave after presiding over America for two terms. However, the biggest shock of his exit will be the transfer of presidential power from him to the controversial businessman and star of The Apprentice (US), Donald Trump.
- David Cameron is, unfortunately, known more for his surprising exit when the UK voted in favour of Brexit.
- Francois Hollande announced that he would not run for re-election as the French president, which has not happened since 1958. However, it may not come as a surprise as 90% of the French population do not think he did a good job as president.
- Last, but not least, Angela Merkel. She seems to be the last one standing in an otherwise, shifting political standing. Poised to run for re-election as Germany’s chancellor, Merkel may withstand much longer in the future.
