The Bible speaks of Samson, who was physically strong and without comparison. He was a judge at a time of Israel being formed, and it was at a fragile stage in its evolution. At this time, a small but well-prepared army of a thousand men attacked Israel, and Samson—alone with God—fought them and prevailed. He fought in a region which was more challenging than any other, and he was exhausted after the battle. He was so thirsty that he almost died, and he made a prayer to God, reminding Him of how he had been used to help others. Would this now be his fate; would he now die like this?
There is not much difference nowadays. Many people help others, but when the time comes for them to be helped, they find themselves alone.
Rest assured, if you relate to this, that the same God who provided the stream of water which not only quenched Samson’s thirst but also revived him is the same God who is available today.
The water which God provides does not only quench thirst but revives a person, both physically and spiritually. Just as happened with Samson, this can happen to anyone who believes. It is with this faith that we bless water every Sunday, and it is determined that the same life and power that entered Samson to revive him will also revive you. Whatever makes a person feel downcast or weak shall be changed into strength and confidence.
Join us this Sunday, when we will bless the water for a specific area or situation in your life so that God’s power can work on your behalf. All you need to do is take a bottle your local UCKG HelpCentre for the 10 am meeting on Sunday.
