The Altar is the only Place in the world where weddings are celebrated.
No matter how simple the Altar may be, it is still required by everyone to formalize the union of a bride and groom.
This is because the Altar is what seals the union.
It guarantees the blessing of sanctification, acceptance and an everlasting covenant.
The Lord Jesus teaches that the Altar sanctifies the offering.
A marriage fails when the surrender of the bride and groom on the Altar, this is, their “offering”, was not valid, it was not accepted by God, like the offering of Cain.
But when the commitment of the bride and groom’s word is followed by practice, then the Altar accepts and sanctifies them.
When this happens, marriage is until death does them part.
The truth is that the future of a marriage is sealed on the Altar. It depends on the joint willingness to obey the oath made on the Altar.
The Spirit of God evaluates whether the offerings (bride and groom) will or will not keep their word.
Then, He accepts the offerings and sanctifies the union, or not.
The same is true in regards to the Salvation of the soul.
Many have offered themselves on the Altar with tears of remorse.
Remorse is not accepted by the Altar.
The Altar only receives an offering that is truly repentant.
Then the Altar is restored and the sacrifices accepted, as in the example of Abel’s offering.
Therefore, we can conclude that EVERYTHING IN LIFE DEPENDS ON WHAT IS OFFERED ON ALTAR.
