For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16.26
The concern to conquer the whole world causes man to become unaware of the existence of the soul.
The soul is so precious that there is a tireless dispute over it between good and evil, between light and darkness.
The desire to conquer the whole world happens when a person is only concerned about fulfilling his physical, material and sentimental needs in this lifetime.
You did not conquer the whole world nor will you ever conquer it, but even if you did, the salvation of your soul would still be more important.
However, there is always something that represents your world. Therefore, what world would you be willing to sacrifice right now, and in return receive the Salvation of your soul?
The sacrifice required is not just about things and people.
The sacrifice for the Salvation of the soul is daily, constant.
It is present 24 hours a day, in the complete and total obedience to the Word of God.
This is, if there is “a desired world” that is against the will of the Most High, what profit would you have to gain this world and lose your own soul?
None! Absolutely nothing!
So, ALL OF US, on a daily basis, have a world to sacrifice.
What is your world today?
