2021 is here. It symbolises a new start, a new beginning, and yet it still holds a lot of uncertainty. If we go into this year alone, it would be as though we were entering unknown territory; vulnerable and with no guidance of how to deal with whatever could come our way.

But we can have that protection and guidance! There is no greater Person to assist us on this journey than the Spirit of God Himself, and that is why we will invest in having His virtues. The Year of the Seven Manifestations of the Spirit of God.

“The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” (Isaiah 11:2)

During the first seven months of the year – from January to July – we will be exploring each of the seven manifestations of the Spirit of God. We will truly gain an in-depth understanding and comprehension of each quality, as well as seek these attributes for ourselves.

We will discover that once we have the Spirit of God – the Holy Spirit – we will become like Jesus when He was here on earth. He was baptised in water and with the Holy Spirit, and because the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him, all seven manifestations were visible in His life. That is why He was able to overcome!

Having these seven attributes is what will enable us to shield our faith, empowering us to overcome whatever we may face in 2021. With the Holy Spirit, we will have the strength to stand strong.

Along with this, we will attend every Sunday service this year, putting God first in everything, including the first fruits of every week.

2021 may have its battles, but we will not crumble, and it is in this faith that we will go!
