Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10.38
To exercise Faith requires courage.
Courage to sacrifice self-will in exchange for God’s will;
Courage to sacrifice obedience to the Word of God in exchange for His Promises;
Courage to sacrifice the body in exchange for the salvation of the soul;
Courage to sacrifice what is visible in exchange for what is invisible;
Courage to sacrifice material in exchange for spiritual;
Courage to sacrifice the kingdom of this world in exchange for the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Lord Jesus proposes this kind of faith to those who are determined to exchange everything from this world for Everything from His World.
Who has faith to do this? Who wants all or nothing?
To those who want to save their life He says:
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16.25
To those who want to be GREAT and FIRST, He says:
…whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave. Matthew 20.26-27
To those who want to follow Him, He says:
If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Matthew 16.24
