If you had to describe the type of fragrance that your life emits, what would you liken it to? Dior J’adore? Bleu de Chanel? Dolce and Gabbana The One? Or does the state of your life make you twist your nose as though you were smelling something unpleasant? If your answer is the latter, then know that this is not how God wants your life to be.
“Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.” (John 12:3)
In biblical times, spikenard perfume was a very expensive fragrant oil, valued at 300 denarii – a year’s wages. It is believed that Mary was saving the essence for her wedding day, but she decided to honour the Lord Jesus by anointing Him with it. The quality of the perfume was rich and heady, as its fragrance filled the entire house.
Maybe your life has only had a negative odour that seems to follow you wherever you go. Whatever you try doesn’t work; your life is filled with problems that you can’t overcome, and there is an uneasiness within you that you can’t explain. It’s time for your life to exude the fragrance of beauty.
Bring a rose to the Spiritual Cleansing meeting at 7.30pm, which will be anointed with a drop of spikenard perfume. As you leave the rose in your home throughout the week, we will determine that all negativity will be removed from your house and your life will exude a beautiful fragrance like spikenard perfume.
