What is the CALEB GROUP?

A group designed to help the senior citizens in our community to connect with each other and develop new friendships, skills and faith. The Caleb Group is made up of volunteers who are willing to help the older people in our community. The Group organise monthly support events to offer advice and show the senior citizens in our community that there is support and help available to them . We also organise events to help promote physical and mental health. Regular outings are also part of the project to help people connect and live new memories. 

Our philosophy

We understand and know that many senior citizens suffer with loneliness and other problems and difficulties brought by the challenges of their new stage in life – We aim to support and do everything we can to have their needs met physically, mentally and spiritually. Our volunteers happily sacrifice their time and efforts to insure a better lifestyle and future for all the senior citizens in our community.

UCKG is a Christian church and registered charity that offers a range of practical support activities alongside spiritual support and comfort and welcomes all-comers. We have gone from strength to strength, providing support and spreading the Christian faith. There are UCKG HelpCentre branches in Dublin, Cork and Galway. The UCKG HelpCentre’s community outreach groups include Caleb for anyone over 50, seeking companionship, support or both, and Patient Care who support the sick at home and in hospitals.
