With everything that is going on in the world, it is quite easy to get overwhelmed. We get bombarded with information from every direction, most of which is very negative – especially now that many countries are on lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. People are confined to their homes, exposed only to what television or the internet has to offer; this can be damaging to our emotional state, mental health, and spiritual condition. The best thing to do is to simply switch off from the world and concentrate on what truly matters.
Isolation can be beneficial, when we use it to do something that edifies our body, soul, and spirit; and there is nothing more edifying than the Word of God and His Holy Spirit.
On Sunday 5th April, we began the Fast of Daniel – just as the prophet Daniel abstained from ingesting anything that was pleasing to the flesh, in order to obtain greater things from God.
We are calling on everyone who wishes to have a greater communion with God to switch off from everything that does not help their spiritual lives: secular media, news, music, movies, gossip, etc.
Instead, we will be filling our minds and occupying our time with the Word of God, praising and worshipping Him, helping to spread the gospel, and learning more from God. To help you do this, we will be transmitting our meetings online and speaking more on the subject through the Fast.
The Fast will last until the lockdown has come to an end.
