On 12 January, Bishop Edir Macedo, along with other bishops from around the world and their wives, said a prayer of agreement directly from the Jordan River, determining blessings for those who took part in the most recent Campaign of Israel.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, some of the bishops who were present completed a walk of over 6 kilometres, encircling the 7 Gates of the Holy City of Jerusalem – an unprecedented event in the history of the Universal Church.
These seven gates hold significant historical and cultural importance, having served as vital entry points to the Old City of Jerusalem for centuries. They have been central to the city’s defence, trade, and spiritual pilgrimages. “Each of the Gates of Jerusalem holds great importance, and we will share their meanings with you,” commented Bishop Renato Cardoso.
Every Sunday, starting on 9 February, you will have the opportunity to learn the meaning of each of these gates and discover how to unlock the gates and doors that may be closed in your life. Don’t miss this very special purpose at your nearest Universal Church.
“Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter.” (Psalm 118: 19-20).
