Most people live their lives blindly. They only worry about the here and now and the cares of this world and as a consequence, they end up despising their soul – which is our most precious asset, as it is eternal.
Concerning this subject, the Lord Jesus once said:
“But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12:20-21).
In other words, what is the use of collecting “earthly treasures” if we lose the presence of the Most High for all eternity?
Therefore, you should take care of your soul. It is way more important than your body because it lives forever. Be it in the presence of God or in hell, your soul never dies.
“Each minute that passes means one less minute of life for us. The pandemic is an example that it doesn’t matter if we are young, old, rich or poor, one day we all are going to die and our soul will detach from our body”, warns Bishop Edir Macedo.
The question is: where will your soul go? Will it rest with God, or will it go to hell?
The Night of the Soul
Stay alert because our time on Earth is limited. Therefore, if you notice that you are far from God, know that He is a loving God who paid a high price for the rescue of our souls. Turn to Him while you still have time.
We invite you to join us for the “Night of the Soul”, which will take place in all Universal Churches for 7 Wednesdays – starting on 19 January and concluding on 2 March – at 7.30pm (also at 7am, 10am and 3pm). After this night, you will never see life and death the same way.
