The Night of the Hidden Manna

Imagine living in a house with no walls or windows. Anything would be able to enter that house, from a fly to a thief and there would be no protection, security or stability.

The Bible explains that the same can be said for a person who has no control over his spirit (mind, thoughts).

“Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.”(Proverbs 25:28)

The spirit of a man serves as protection, but without proper control, it will be like a house without walls, open to any danger.

In order to live a stable life, both physically and emotionally, one must learn to take control over the thoughts they allow to enter and dwell in their mind. It is a strong spirit that sustains a person when they are going through a difficult situation or in the face of bad news.

You can develop this strength in your spirit by inviting the Word of God into your mind. The contents of this sacred text will give you peace of mind and guidance in the midst of turbulent moments.

However, knowledge of this Word alone will not be enough to sustain you, it’s faith and a total dependence in it which will make all the difference.

Every Wednesday at your local Universal Church, you can attend the Night of the Hidden Manna at 7:30pm (also taking place at 7am, 10am & 3pm) for our weekly Bible study.

In these meetings you will explore the hidden gems which are to be uncovered in the Word of God and learn how to establish your confidence and trust in God – Who can help you when you’re in need.

To make the most of this meeting, bring your Bible, a notebook and a pen so that you can take note of everything that you will learn. If you know someone who would also benefit from this meeting, why not invite them to come along with you?
