The perfect heart towards God

God makes everything in this world available to us, but He does not accept to share us with the world. He is the only Creator and Lord, which means He is to be worshipped, revered and feared above all things.

The Biblical passage from 1 John 2:15 says that “if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him”. The world seems beautiful and wonderful, but it has nothing to offer our soul, other than what temporarily pleases the flesh.

The soul is only at peace when it is in direct connection with God and when loved by Him. It is no surprise that the first commandment recorded in Luke 10:27 is “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart (…)”.

When you love God with all your heart, you only think about pleasing Him and your will is completely surrendered to Him. We have the right to make our personal decisions, but when God finds someone who considers Him, it is something glorious.

Of course, no human being is perfect, but when a heart is turned towards God, He dwells in them because He has found sincerity within them.

The person God chooses to make His home is sincere, transparent, true and does not try to pretend to be something that they are not, but rather seeks the Father’s compassion.

When He finds a person whose soul truly loves Him and puts Him first, He allows them to have the mind of the Lord Jesus and to be led by Him.

This love, however, is not a feeling or sensation, but comes from obedience to the Word of God and His Will. This causes His Kingdom to enter your life and make you His Temple, and the other things will then be added to your life.

If you want to learn how to put God first and invest in having a true relationship with Him, in preparation for His imminent return, join us this Wednesday at your local Universal Church.

We will be continuing the 7-week Biblical series, “The Thief in the Night” to explore the return of the Lord Jesus, which He compared to the coming of a thief –unannounced.

No matter where you currently stand in your walk of faith, these meetings will make a great addition to your weekly routine and strengthen your intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

Bring your Bible, and aim to arrive for the service at least 15 minutes before it begins so you can prepare your mind for the message that you will receive.

We look forward to seeing you at your local Universal Church.
