If there is Someone who deserves honour and respect, that Someone would be God, after all without Him nothing would exist.
This is known to all but unfortunately only acknowledged by a few. In the Bible, God calls the attention of those who were not honouring Him:
“A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, where is My honor?” (Malachi 1:6)
God left those words in the book of Malachi for each person to reflect if truly they have been honouring Him the way He would want them to. After all, people expect the best from God but yet are not willing to give it back to Him.
Today, how can a person acknowledge and honour God?
When you separate the tithe, by doing so you are showing that you are acknowledging Him as Lord over all your possessions. Therefore, your victories are the result of your dependence on Him.
However, honouring God is not limited to giving your tithe alone, but also honouring Him with your character, conduct and actions, for this speaks volumes. True honour comes from a decision to obey God consistently in all things.
If you want to honour God in all, allowing Him to be Lordship of your life, then in the month of November we will collect the names of all those who have decided to honour God. Your name will be placed in the book of honour to the father – all the names of those who are faithful will be taken to Mount Moriah in Israel, where a prayer will be made on behalf of all those who put God first.
If you put God first, how will He possibly forget your needs?
