But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Mein Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1.8
The Lord Jesus has not given us the Holy Spirit to serve ourselves. Of course, the fact of having His presence causes a life of quality flow naturally, without any need for deviance of conduct or character. However, the baptism with the Holy Spirit’s main purpose is to serve Him as a faithful Witness of the resurrection of Jesus.
How can you be a witness of the resurrection of Someone who died 2000 years ago?
In the law of men, a person can only testify against or on behalf of someone when he is present at the time of the crime. Also, he must have seen or heardwhat happened.
How can you have seenJesus’ death and resurrection 2000 years ago? Impossible.
When the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes us with the Holy Spirit, He speaksand we hear His voice clearly and transparently speaking in the depths of our being, to the point of “burning the soul.”
From this moment on, through the action of the Spirit of Jesus, it brings forth in us God’s image and a wellspring of Words that truly confirm the resurrection of Jesus.
Therefore, the baptism or seal of the Spirit of God determines that the Image and Word of God be reflected in us.
