However heavy our daily burden may be, it is still light when we take the yoke of the Lord Jesus.
When a person complains about the burden of the cross, the burden of the Christian cause or his yoke, you can be absolutely sure that this has nothing to do with the yoke of the Lord. Especially since it is written, determined and promised that, blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits Psalm 68.19
The problem is that, because of our bad choices, we reap bad fruits. And when we reap them, we cannot charge it to our Lord’s account.
We despise, ignore and even reject doing His will. But when its time to reap the harvest of the flesh, we complain about it with Him. Is this fair?
I have learned that, however great my faith may be, I can never use it to make my will prevail. In this case, there is a saying that goes: “To err is human, but insisting on the same err is foolish.”
Those who want to avoid evil should flee from it. This is, those who do not want to be a victim of the violence and evils of this world should stay away from its diabolical offerings. Turn away from bad company, run away from drugs and alcohol-fueled parties; run from videos, movies, music, dances or any parties, public or private meetings that stimulate sex or the desires of the flesh.
If this is observed, then the Christian will certainly know the yoke of the Lord Jesus is indeed gentle and His burden is light.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11.29-30
