Stop the Pain

“And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow… Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” (Luke 7:12, 14)

The loss of a loved one is one of the most painful feelings a person can experience. The widow in the verses above was suffering from that very affliction, because her only son had died. But Jesus halted the funeral procession – He wanted to stop her pain. When Jesus resurrected the widow’s son, He ceased the flow of her tears and brought the joy back into her life.

What has brought you to tears recently? Could it be a family problem that has made you feel desperate and at a loss for what to do? Is any other situation troubling you? Jesus can bring it to a stop.

Next Sunday, 9 May, you will place the reasons for your pain and suffering on the Altar of your local UCKG. You will put your family member’s life on the Altar; particularly one who is spiritually dead and needs a revival. We will determine that your tears of sadness will be turned into tears of joy and that Jesus will stop your pain.

If you know someone who is shedding tears of sadness because of a family member or any other problem, invite them to come with you.

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” (Psalm 126:5)

Please come wearing your face covering and follow all social distancing guidelines.
