Without salt, without flavor

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5.13

This word is very strong!

The word tasteless means:

  1. lacking flavor, bland.

In a person’s spiritual life, as long as he has some taste, flavor, even if it is a small amount, he is not yet tasteless.

This explains why there is still a possibility for the lost souls to be rescued; for those who want to return because they still have some taste, flavor for the things of God, but lack the strength to do so. Therefore they need help, someone to reach out and help them.

But unfortunately, this is not true for many.

Certainly, there are many servants of God who have found those who are tasteless, who want nothing when they go out to rescue those who are lost. These people do not miss the time in their life when they were in the faith, because they no longer have any taste or flavor.

Mercy!
