There are few things more humiliating than having a door slammed in your face. It is a clear sign of rejection and disapproval. And even if this has not physically happened to most people, anyone can relate to what it feels like because we’ve all had somebody deny us something we needed.
We can all remember having a job application, contract signing, or scholarship rejected, even though all the odds seemed to be stacked in our favour. Some people have had loan, mortgage, or other applications for financial assistance rejected on account of a low credit score or some other factor. Whatever they try, it is as if they have no credibility, and the doors that lead to success are constantly shut, keeping them trapped in the state they are so desperately trying to escape.
‘I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.’ (John 10:9)
Maybe you have been knocking on all the wrong doors when, in fact, One of them can take you to the correct ideas and actions you should take. Through the power of faith, we can put God before us as we face the obstacles on the path to professional success.
Every Monday we learn more about God’s promises and how we can manifest our faith through action in order to call upon Him to fulfil those promises.
