‘Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the POWER that works in us’ (Ephesians 3:20)
This power that is mentioned in the verse above is our FAITH. In order to gain anything from God, we need to have faith that we can receive it from Him. And it is no different if we want to see God do, not only exceedingly, but also abundantly, great things in our lives – above anything that we could ever think, ask, desire or even imagine!
A secret that many people forget is that their life reveals the quality of their faith – which means the state of your finances shows your faith, your love life shows your faith, your health shows your faith and so on. If you have a great faith, you must live a great life; if your life is not great, then your faith is not great.
You may say, ‘Bishop, my faith is not great. But how can I make it great?’ Well, faith comes by hearing the word of God, so the condition of your faith is based on your relationship with the Word. However, this does not mean that simply by reading or listening to an audio Bible will increase the quality of your faith, or even by attending every service in the church. But rather, your faith is a result of the actions you take based on the Word that you have received.
We must test the word of God. For it is useless to merely be hearers of the Word but not doers. If your faith is not growing, it is simply because you are not practising what you have been learning.
I invite you today to take actions based upon the word of God; test the word of God. This will result in you discovering that the word of God is true and consequently your faith will grow. And then the more you put your faith in the word of God into practice, the more results you will see and the greater your faith and your life will become.
Friends, may this POWER that works in you become so great, that the exceedingly and abundantly great things God desires to do in you and through you may be done.
